yeah so i fitted the new air regulator , still undriveable, now with some colder plugs from NGK and the Vpower behind them the car started right up and started purring , so far so good, now lets hope itll continu running smooth after shes warmed up a lot!

and to throw this tidbit of knowledge out there for future referance to all our soon to be CA peoples and there are quite a few that will get there soon , or later and maybe even get there again very soon!

plugs

NGK non platium 1.82$ per

bcpr6E-11 standard non platiumn plug for our motors. bcpr7E-11 colder plugs bcpr5E-11 hot plugs (avoid them i think!!!)

ok now ive gapped them to 35, was at 32 prob will drop that gap again soon!

ask for 1984 200sx Ca18et turbo plugs the exhaust plugs,...make sure you get the correct heat range!!!!

also they are gappd at 44 from the factory, that is too much must gap them down!!!!

thank you have a nice day and wish me luck !!

Yup i run those same plugs (6's) gapped at 35 as well. Good enough for now but when i start gettin crazy i'll gap em down a bit more, probably get platinums and maybe even go one range colder. Oh yea and one more thing that is kinda funny. When i ordered those plugs a while back, i prepaid for 4 of them. Napa calls me up and tells me they're in. I go to pick them up, show them my reciept and they give me a box of 10 of them when it clearly says 4 on the reciept. I thought it was rather amusing :)

hmm well guys after having my new plugs in for 12hrs they are already fouled and im missfiring det ing something cars not real drivable,

Boost, what are the chances of the FPR being shot and allowing too much pressure to the injectors, seems this was also the same problemn the prevoious owner had, but he let the motor beat him, he was on here asking about extreme rich conditions that finnally left the motor un startable! could it be that adding this walbro has over thrown the FPR ?

Could it be from the BOV venting to the atmosphere and not recircing that is giving you so much problems running rich? Just throwing ideas out.

BTW... I am off work today Jon, and would like to come and get that hotpipe and IC today if I could. IM me if you get this.

the vented BOV should only make the car run rich in situations where the ECU expects that air to be recirculated, ie when the blow off valve is venting. Just a thought but the CA uses platinum plugs from the factory so I wouldn't expect non-platinums to last very long.

well it list my plugs as standard non platium, sides id rather replace them once a month then pay 60$ a set im just wierd like that ! but it shouldnt foul them out in 12hrs and maybe one hour of total driving around !
