WTF.

Shoot your own defective self FIRST. Now this useless air-waster is gonna cost us all millions of dollars, and the two kids are GONE... forever.

Not sure why, but this one hurts... Ugh. I'm going to bed. :(

This is so very sad. If there was no guns in the house this probably wouldn't of happen.

No.

If there were no guns in the house, she would have probably beat them to death or something. The gun didn't turn her into the sick person that could have done this. She could have already been set on killing her children, weather she had one or not.

The article never mentioned her "condition". Regretfully that condition will be likely get used as an excuse to help her avoid properly paying for her crime.

"Both were killed with a .38-caliber pistol. The arrest affidavit said the weapon was purchased five days earlier."

There wasn't a gun in the house, she had to go out and buy it.

I'm gonna put on my flame suit for this...

Had there been proper parenting in place and high level of discipline and respect in the house, she may not have killed her kids. Then again had there been proper parenting in the house she wouldn't have killed her kids. Sad story, but really the mother sounds to have had a Schizophrenic break, which means that she probably thought the kids were trying to kill her.

Having said all that I still think she should rot in jail for what she did, but really the quality of parents in this day in age has severely gone down the toilet. Beat your kids when they get out of line and instill a high level of integrity, respect, and discipline and maybe, just maybe stuff like this wouldn't happen. They sure as hell won't get mouthy with you.

Daughter was DOING HER HOMEWORK. Yeah. Sounds like a real "problem child".

I could spare us a lot of resources... Give me 3 minutes with this piece of crap and a cheap extension cord. Problem solved.

Prayers for her husband... :(

There was something else wrong that wasn't talked about, obviously...
Like I'm betting the husband was beating her/the kids and she bottled that ish up and exploded. Just a theory, tho. It could be anything.

I'm saying this because a break like that doesn't just happen without a push. The only other explanation would be she was crazy the whole time, but there would be signs.

Her husband was deployed. She did it, I hate when people make excuses for what happened.

What are you talking about? No excuses were made, it's just a known psychological cause/effect progression. People don't break without a cause.

Saw this on one of my other forums.
Apparently one of the guys there were friends with the two kids while they were in Germany, living in an off base American neighborhood.

You're right. She would have stabbed them. Or drowned them. Or poisoned them. Or...

What's to stop them?

Background checks don't look at medical history. That's protected (HIPAA), remember?

You can have your personal life intruded upon, or you can have your privacy. Can't have it both ways.
