most useless to me.... 2 trip odometers, and not 1 can read out to 9999 miles, which would be helpful to track oil changes, long trips,etc---even my 300zxturbo had that.

I agree with Kevin, I like the power antenna, I get great reception with that big mast. The ones in the glass do not cut it where I live surrounded by mountains. My Q and my Z both have them and get good FM recption where I live, no other cars with the little screw on ones get anything a few people with the shark fins get zero.

For sure, tape deck has not ever been used in 6 years and probably never will.

2.) For the FINAL question, What was the point of having a gas tank in the trunk rather than being under tha car like other cars???
1.) LS is made for boulevardiers. Q is made for drivers.

2.) Besides safety, this location resuslts in less change in in the fore to aft weight distribution as it is burned down to ¼ tank before being refilled.

Power antenna definitely

Here is one that hasn't been mentioned:

The Y33 center console double decker storage thing. I HATE IT. Its so cheap feeling and dumb. If it were more solid it would be ok, but it sucks as it is.

Seriously??? I think that's one cool a$$ feature myself. Feels plenty solid to me, not cheap feeling whatsoever. It's so wide too, I love that you and your passenger can both rest your arms on it and not touch each other.

The most useless thing for me is the illuminated keyhole on the doors. Who needs it when you have keyless entry? Nissan should have spent that research & technology money on a manual trans instead.

Feels fine to me, maybe the screws need tightening?

I love how it can store a lot of things, and you can open it from either side.

Why? So they could have sold 3 of them 15 years later (once the value dropped) to someone that wants to drift a Q?

yeah taht was useless to me too on my 93Q. But then again it looks nice though. When pl get in the car they look at it and are like "WOW!!!! thats neat", but in my head has no use.

And about those key lights i think thats neat. Kinda makes the luxery stand out on the car.

And is that really a microphone located next the the Defrost button on the 93Q?

I'm not saying to lose the mast entirely - it does indeed provide 'diversity' reception for the 2nd antenna built into the rear window. However, just make it so that it isn't extending and retracting all the time! An ANTENNA UP/DOWN/AUTO switch located somewhere on the dash would have fixed the problem nicely.

Nope. That's actually an ambient temp sensor. The A/C adjusts according to what that sensor tells it. It's usually pretty dirty, and a good idea to pull the defrost switch out(so you can get access to it) and give it a good clean. But be careful, it's quite delicate.

I started to say the rear power sunshade....but I imagine if you're driving east or west (pm or am) and the sun is coming in the rear window, and you have a baby in the back in a child seat facing rearward.... the sunshade may come in handy.

So far I've only used it twice. Both times it was to 'show off' and impress passengers about my cool car. Of course 90% of them ask "what car is this?" Guess the Q is not that popular....

I would agree the the middle flip down visor is useless. However, I found it is a great place to clip my garage door opener.

what I find totally useless on my 94 Q is the feature that allows the side view mirror to move downward when you are in reverse. If it would happen automatically and operated both mirrors I might be able to find it useful. but...you must choose one side or the other must have the car in park and turn the little knob on the mirror control on the dash which is hidden by the steering wheel. Then you must remember to turn the knob back to its center position to use the feature again. Otherwise you must stop put the car in park move the knob back to the center position then move it to the left or right position then put the car back in reverse.

Agreed. Since our Q's have little room to store much of anything, I use the center visor for my garage door opener AND I have a clip attached to hold my sunglasses.

I already told you!!!!!

It's a cabin temp sensor, so the A/C automatically adjusts fan speed according to how close the actual air temp is to the set value put into the climate control by you.

It's kind of funny that you guys say your center visors are useless, but that's one of the things I find myself wishing my Maxima had on a regular basis. One of my favorite things about the 6th gen Maxima interior is that it has no less than 6 sun visors. You never have to worry about the sun being in a position where you can't block it.

Every morning on my drive home, I've got the sun coming straight in through the top center of the windshield, right above the rearview mirror where the visors don't reach. If I had one of those useless center visors, my problem would be solved.

You can never have enough sun visors. I can't believe cars don't have them for rear passenger side windows yet!

You mean the black circular one on the A-pillar? I've wondered that myself. I always figured it was for my giant banana-phone that came with the car. Am I right?
