not trying to pick a fight start off by making enemies or anything but i dont see your logic behind having aftermarket wheels being ghetto.Since when does having anything percieved buy the owner to nice or cool to him or her be it out landishly large or outlandishly lound have to be classified as ghetto.Just say you dont care for it or not your taste.Since when has the word "ghetto" been associated with non ghetto things i.e. Rims bodykits loud stereo's.those are for everyone to hate or love.Like i said before im not trying to start a fight or make enemies.I just need to understand logic behind thing.and im not offended at all dont get me wrong
Dang...I go on hiatus & this happens... *lol*
When I say that rims are too ghetto for my taste, I meant the ones that are oversized & chrome. I guess I should have specified that. I mean, come on...imagine a J30 sitting on 24" spinners or larger size of chrome rims...pretty hideous if you ask me. But if another person digs it, then that's them. But large chrome rims are largely associated with the "thug life," drug dealing, pimping, etc., especially here in Alabama. Just like dropping a fart can & a huge spoiler on a Honda Civic is considered "rice" & "boy racer."
I've actually seen some Js with 18" chrome or 18" OEMs from a G35. Those actually look nice to me. Then again, that's just my HO (humble opinion).
As far as the stereo goes, I don't care how loud it is. Just don't blast it in front of my house when I'm trying to sleep or study. *lol*
What made me start this thread is the fact that I used to go on CarDomain a lot (before I got super busy in my life) to look @ the J30s & get some ideas on how to do mine when I buy it. But when I see the same old stuff, it turns me off. If I want oversized chrome that bad, all I have to do is get my cousin's '94 Chevy Impala SS or just slap some chrome on my Civic. When I work on the J, I want it to be different; something to remember. That's all I was implying. I didn't mean to step on anyone's toes. But no offense taken; I appreciate your input.
