I have a 98 240, The idle goes up and then drops down so low i think its about to stall but then goes back up... whats the reason for this???

The only think i can think of would be that Right when i start my car if i turn headlights on real quick, or roll down windows that all the power is going to the windows or lights??? lol i could be wayyy off... im just a girl. lol

no, headlights or windows are not your problem, check the MAF sensor, the conector may be loose. if you are standing at the front of the car looking at the engine, there is a black box at the lower left near the driver side headlight, its a pretty big box. there is a metal section a few inches long that connects to a plastic tube that goes back into your engine. on the metal part, there is an electirical connector, wiggle that back and forth slightly and see if it gets any better

idle probs can be such a pain. you really need to do/get done the basic inspection procedure which includes checking fuel pressure, ign timing, vacuum, etc.
