Okay, I honestly don't know much about cars, but I took my car to the dealership and had them run my codes and whatnot, they came back with P0420 and P0440, the front cat and o2 sensor, which is apparently extremely common with this car. Anyway, I've been looking around online to find cheaper prices and whatnot, seeing as the dealership was looking almost 1300 for parts and labor for those two things. I found the same part for the cat online for like 100 bucks cheaper, but I'm also considering something aftermarket? If I do decide to go aftermarket, what exactly am I looking for? My part number is 20020-3Y400, which I believe is the front right?

I found this website, partstrain.com, and when I search for my car, go down to exhaust and choose catalytic converter, I get like 32 results, all of which are drastically cheaper than the actual OEM part. My big question is, and I know it's pretty dumb, is there just one part on there that will work? Or will I have to combine a couple of them? Or all they all just crap? Thanks in advance.

the problem is not extremely common but id does happen. As for the 'cat,' all of them will work as long as they are exact fit. the problem is durability. The cat contains precious metals - platinum, palladium and rhodium to oxidize and reduce engine exhaust into less harmful byproducts. Aftermarket parts have little amount of these precious metals and typically last a few years unlike OEM which last for 10 years or more. Of course, contaminants, bad fuel or too rich mixture can cause cats and O2 sensors to fail prematurely.

For O2 sensors, you can get them reasonably priced from our sponsor, NGK.com, a.k.a. "sparkplugs.com."

Least expensive way (if where you live does not have inspections) is to put an aftermarket y-pipe (cattman, warpspeed, etc) on and eliminate the warm up cats.
