Most headlight fog/condensation youve ever seen!! *pic* how can I fix

I just got this car, and I noticed it had some fog/condensation behind the drivers side headlight, but didnt think much of it as Ive got bigger problems.

But I experienced rain last night, and HOLY CRAP, Ive got a drop factory in that lense. I noticed that the lense is cracked, that may be the source, but its only the black outer piece that looks cracked, not the "sealed" part of the headlight, but you cant really tell....

You can see the crack, I amcurious if the headliught comes out easy, or how exactly I woud go about fixing this?

Removing the entire headlight? Is that even easy on an 01+? I personally cant see any cracks, but Im assuming this big chunk im missing might be a small culprit.... even tho I dont think it pentetrates into the inside of the glass....

Well I got the headlight out last night, but noticed there really isnt a seam where the 2 clear plastic pieces meet together, do you mean to run a bead of silicone around where the black plastic backing of the headlight meets the clear part, just go all the way around?

I guess I gotta shoot some compressed air in there or something to get rid of it first, then try doing the bead around the entire lense if you say thats what you meant

thats what i did.

blasted it with compressed air and then put a bead of silicone around what i thought was the seam.
