Hey guys I have a 1990 300zx TT that no longer starts, it was running fine then a couple days ago I was driving and dropped a cylinder, drove straight home stopped the car now it won't start any more just cranks. I have checked the ecu for codes only got a 42 (fuel temp sensor) replaced the ptu, pulled out cas and spun it by hand everything worked, changed spark plugs, checked coil pack wiring (peanut that had the car was a genius with wiring) resoldered and heat shrunk all joins. Have fuel and spark why will my car not start anymore??

What are your injectors Ohm'ing at?

Fuel temp sensor not functioning will cause your car not to start in some scenarios.

I doubt fuel temp sensor, although it has to do only with PRVR, which has to do with cranking.

Check for fuel pressure.

Thanks guys I'm not sure how to test the fuel temp sensor but I have cleaned the connection as it was green. I will check the injectors again tonight they all seem to squirt maybe a bit too much but I don't think that would stop the car starting?
Fuel pressure was 40psi when I tested it :/

Odd that you had a loose plug, guess that killed all your compression. Good find. Good luck with it.
