Sine we talk so much about FI engines in here, why has this item not been discussed? I see it as a way to reduce TONS of engine wear that is done on startup in most FI cars. For those who don't know, the oil accumulator is powered by compressed air and uses either a remote control solenoid valve to open the vavle to it's internal oil supply and pressurize your oil system. Since it only uses a small burst of compressed air you can keep a small compressed air tank somewhere in your car and just fill it at home every week or so. You could also wire the remote control solenoid to be operated by hand. I know many blown V8 guys and other forced induction crews that think this is one of the most valuable pieces of equipment they own. Anyone have an opinion on using one of these in any of our turbo-charged motors?

Not in the slightest. An oil accumulator is a pressurized oil reserve that can be activated when low oil pressure is sensed or before startup, providing a fully pressurized oil system at any time. Read the post, the description is NOTHING like an oil catch can......

It's likely that you did see the accumulator, I understand how the descriptions can sound sort of alike. An oil catch can is just a can that catches oil that can be forced out of the valve-cover.
