The past 2 days my 4th cyl has eaten 5 plugs. The electrodes keep getting smashed. Yes, they may be a bit to long, and the pioston may keep smashing it, so I bought spacers for them from Moroso. It WAS working til, who the hell knows. Now I have oil in my cylinder 4, and on the plug, and the car is burning it like a smoke screen. Any ideas on where this oil is coming from? I think maybe the valve went or some gromett somewhere is ridiciliously worn out or maybe non existent, but I really don't want to pay someone $480 dollars to do it, buuuut I know I won't be able to. Theres a little to much there for me to try and do on my own. I may have over reved it and the head gasket went. I missed a shift right before all of this happened and the tach got to about 7, 7500. Could this have blown some seal, gasket, head, or maybe even the whole damn valce? Anything? If so, what? If you've got any ideas, please let me know...

<shrugs> ya, u might do a visual w/ the Valve Cover off to see something...

A L D O R plugs in the #4 cyl might help; they fire in oil + that plug extender that u got= band-aid for now...

Please describe "smashed". Is it crushed? Is the insulator damaged? You could have flying bits in the combustion chamber. As for the piston hitting the plug, that would have to be a significantly abnormal plug length.
