The white lion (1990 Q) has been in a long coma since early November in our driveway due to a combination of hose leaks and other little issues. At over 200,000 miles, I have neglected the poor beast for too long and out of respect for it (and the relentless prodding of my wife) I have bugun an undertaking into bringing it out of its long sleep.

First, the replacement of several smaller hoses that appear to be caked from the previous owner with RTV sealant to seal a small hole I assume. Nice...
Second, the replacement of some heater hoses from the firewall.
Third, removal of the intake manifolds and fuel rails for cleaning and seal replacement. (I did replace the injectors about 8 months ago, but chickened out in going any further.)
Fourth, Removal of the oil pan to clean both the sludge and reseal correctly.
Fifth, valve cover resealing
Other random odd bits here and there...

Hopefully, someone can help with one issue. On the drivers side of the engine, the subharness, I am perplexed as to where one connector goes, or once did. In the service manual, one connector S69 connects to C13 harness connector. I do not have a C13 harness connection, but I do have the S69 just dangling.... any ideas?

Hey Neighbor - It looks like S69 is on page 267 as a splice location as GES4. I have a couple of those that go nowhere as I recall on mine.. I'll go take a look.. But I think the that plug is also on 267. Is this the one?

I think a better view is on page 255 of the electrical section (for those playing along) of the service manual. Attached is a photo of what I am talking about:

In my hand are two connectors. My thumb is holding, I believe, is the S62 or the Terminal Check 1.... the other is the S69 connector. I just realized that neither of these has a home to go to. Wonder if the connectors are only needed if the car is a TCS model (mine isn't).

Mine is just a base model - without TCS. Here's a picture of those connections below.

yeah... just did a check. My connectors do not have any placement on the harness like yours. I did check the passenger side, and the S10 connector, Check terminal 2, is also homeless. However, there is no C8 connector to a C1. Neither a C8 or a C1 anywhere. Refer to pages 254 in service manual.

Just so dang weird...

I wonder if it something that changed in 1991? The manual PDF is for a 94 model where I see some difference every now and then.. .

The plug that your thumb is touching is for checking the timing I think.

Thanks IG... However, it still does not explain the other homeless connectors. Is it possible that the 1991's subharness was used here instead of the 1990's? I have no other 1990 model years around here to compare to. Matter of fact, Since I have been in NW Arkansas, I have seen but two other Q's
