so i finally drove my SR last night it was spitting and sputtering so when i tryed to go it would just spit and sputter slowly increasing RPMS. after driving it for about an hour it got a little better and drivable so now it idles OK not awsome but it can hold an idle at 800 roughly.when i go and then come to a stop or just push the clutch in it either comes super close to dieing or does die.

so im thinking TPS? possible....idk i just heard that word thrown around when it comes to running well. and im not sure how to adjust it but ill research that how to.

my exhaust manifold also get suuuupppeeer hot like freaking red (its tomei aftermarket).

and i back fire a bunch and when i got one it once i looked in my rear view mirror there was a huge flash. and my brother said my under carriage light up like some fire works going off (i just have a 3in down pipe )

check for vac leaks and check to see if the maf is hooked up right. also its always best to check the ecu first for error codes. and it wouldn't hurt to check the voltage to the tps

What's your timing set at? It sounds pretty retarded.

That sounds like my car. Gap your sparkplugs correctly to your boost level. Reset your timing and make shore it is spot on. Make shore the cam angle sensor is set right. I had to fiddle with mine until it ran nice.I re-gapped my plugs and it ran alot better too. If that doesnt do it check the tps and maf. Make shore all the grounds are well grounded. Check voltage on the coilpacks also if all els fails.

I got a spec-r turbo and never adjusted my timing for the boost nor my plugs and it ran like s***. Thes things make a big difference.
