Here's a news flash for the entire left, and I'll use small words so you people don't get confused (and ask for government assistance):
Those concepts were impossible to track BEFORE they pulled this shady shenanigan!
5 years of college statistics 'learned'ed' me that much - Go ahead and propose how you would track "jobs saved". First you have to define it (which would be like juggling Jello), then establish a baseline, then observe change, minus all applicable variables, controlling for any number of confounding factors...
This doesn't track the number of people who were making $80K before they were laid off and are now earning $20 an hour to make ends meet. They're out there, I work with several attorneys and doctors who make the same amount I make.
This doesn't control for the confounding of the numbers by people who take on 2-3 jobs to replace one lost income ("Hey, we created a new job!")
This doesn't account for those who have said, "Screw it" and dropped a significant expense (like private school) and quit their underpaying job in order to just stay home and raise their kids.
This doesn't account for those who quit looking for work and started their own business... Incidentally THOSE are the people who are going to lead us out of the darkness, NOT some moron on Capitol Hill who can't do math.
