This, my friends, is what we found around the service port atop the battery on a towed-in Leaf:
We're somewhat puzzled because there's clear evidence of a high-voltage flash from the chewed cable, but we found no corpse. The only thing we can come up with is that the rat was clinging to the cable and was protected from the full force of the discharge by having his rat footsies on plastic insulation. One lucky rodent!
