Awesome! thanks for the stock tire + rim weight! my pirelli p6 tires are 27 lbs each + 23lbs for the rims. ~50LBS soo not much in weight difference for me lol.NissanAltimaGuy wrote:I really like the way desertdragon's wheels looked and opted for the same wheel but in gunmetal.
I was curious as to the weight difference, and when they arrived I weighted the stock 17" rim/tire:
(50lbs)
To the new RE30 rim/tire:
(44lbs)
I can't say I feel an acceleration gain, but when I press the brakes I feel like I'm going through the windshield. I wouldn't have thought 6lbs per wheel would make such a dramatic change in stopping power.
Side on view:
Rims/tires were weighed together. I have 225/45ZR-18 Bridgestone Potenza RE960AS Pole Position tires, which according to the sticky, is close enough. I think the online tire calculator showed a -1.3% difference in diameter relative to stock.dldjros69 wrote:I like the rims. They look really good with the car. What kinda rubber u got?
i like the weight difference.
Are you weighing the tires and wheels together?
I will also have some numbers this weekend on the weight difference between the stock exhaust, Stillen cat-back, and Tanabe axle-back if anyone is interested.Forrest80 wrote:wow man, good choice. I love them and i am jealous.
and thanks a million for weighing the stock wheels and your current set up, very valueable information.
