Hi all I have just signed up to what seems to be an amazing forum wich is very informative! I have ran many searches and cant seem to find hard facts about what im after,

Basically i have just put an RB25 into an s13, and its running fantastic, however in doing the conversion i never had a turbo so i bought a T70 turbo and im using stock rb25 management and im hitting bad fuel cut!

I heard you can run an RB20 ecu which can be mapped, if you swap a couple injector wires around and earth out the VVT wire, is there anything else involved in the conversion?

My queries are these; do you need to do anything to the sensors? i.e change the maf? CrankAngle Sensor (CAS)? are the injectors different sizes? ignition amplifer? etc?

basically, i need to drive the car everyday, so after swapping the ecus around il need to drive the car to and from work, so can i run the rb25 on a stock rb20 map for a while untill i can get it mapped? Im planning on getting a chip to remove fuel cut for the mean time, then using an apexi SAFC2 to control mixture. is all this possible?

eventually when funds allow im going to get a nistune or an apexi and do it properly but before then i need to remove my fuel cut!

dont quote me on this, but I believe you will have to change the MAF because of the turbo size.. 2 i dont think you will be able to run the RB20ecu . NISTUNE is actually working to get a program for the RB25 which should be available around summer time!! i've been exchanging emails with one of the techs there! get a apexi FC. you should be able to play with the fuel a lil.. or you can try RSP.

here's the info

Yes we can chip the R33 ecu. The chip has been designed for stage 1> mods, ie> > -full exhaust(turbo elbow back), front mount intercooler, induction> kit, boost> > controller upto .8/.85bar. Using 97ron fuel.> >> > They make between 310-320bhp and 280-300ft/lb.> >> > We need your ecu to chip, so it will require you shipping the ecu to> us. The> > day we receive it we will ship it back to you. The price is 444 shipped.

thats not bad at all. but i dunno if its going to help you since you got that huge turbo! you mind as well save a little bit more and get a PFC

There is no fuel cut. Your maxing out your maf and have a good chance of blowing your motor...

You put a turbo on and are just running the car untuned?!?! Wow. Stop now before you blow it up. The $300 "super T70" turbo you bought off ebay is the cheapest thing you'll buy putting a turbo on a car. You need a fuel pump, injectors, MAF, ECU, tune, front mount, yada yada yada. You can't just bolt on a bigger turbo and go. You seriously need to do some research before you just start bolting **** onto your motor.

I do have other mods like fuel pump and front mont etc! im running 0.4 bar of bost so hardly damaging the new motor, i actually workfor a rolling road tuning company so im not clueless, but just wanted more info on ecu swapping, im proving to all the haters out there that you can have a very quick car on a low budget!
