first off- thanks for all the help so far with my many questions  ( no sarcasm )

Im still at the cross roads as to wether to rebuild my rb20. or save up for a rb26 as I found a buyer for the parts/bown 20
I love the rb series so, sr..ka.. not really feeling it.

I don't have huge hp goals, 400-450 , but I do want something that after I finish my college stuff that I can make a little more crazy as it won't be a daily at that point

my main question is
rebuild the 20- budget is around 4-5 grand -
or save up for a decent rb26 swap and not modifie it for now
I've heard people saying it costs 8+ grand for a 26 swap , but the threads I lurk and the local 26 swaps didn't cost near that, granted they didnt buy a ton of name brand parts with it

would a used rb26 be reliable for 2-3yrs, ( when I get it im replacing all the parts, oil,,water pump.. timing etc )
considering I never really drift or race my motors
Any input always appreciated !!!

rb26 comes with GT-AAAAAAARRRHHHHH tax, so any parts will be money on that motor.

if the 20 has blown, long block it...800$ or less and you'll be mobile again.
or buy a complete motorset for like 1300$ shipped and have spares for everything.

get an rb26 from a r33. newer crank and less s*** turbos. then you can get the swap in and not have to worry r32 problems. they you can upgrade parts on the weekends while you can drive during the week. i used syko mounts much better than any others imo. and you can even use the rb20 trans until you get a 25 trans. i spent 3 years piecing my rb together.

Agree 100% with this. Don't throw any more money at an RB20. You'll be disappointed because you could have spent the same amount and made more power/torque with an RB26.

i daily drove my 30 for 2.5 years...logged close to 25kmi on it already!

it doesnt matter what motor it is, it matters how well it was put together.
