my rb20 is acting very funny at a 1/4 throttle it revs like its at wot but at wot it hesitates, then revs to 1500 rpm then just bounces there it wont even rev to 5000rpm. it acts like its at the rev limiter. theres a mean miss when it starts doing it. all i have is an gts-t pump, no mods. also sometimes it dies when coming down from revs and it is very hard to crank when cold. the maf is reading air cause when i checked it the car almost sputtered and died and started running rich. when add a load it just buck and sputters and misfires. wont go anywhere occansionally it will become normal pull like it should then at about 4k it backfires sputters and then starts buckin. im at a loss

that sounds like its in LIMP MODE it let you rev past a certain rpm. Try resetting the ecu by removing the ground cable for 1min. and hit the brakes so you get read of all the power!.....

few thing that could help

*regap plugs .8 (change them if you have to)*clean maf*check for unpluged wires (specially ground)

but yeah bottom line sounds like you are in LIMP MODE ( it automatically goes into that if the ecu detects something wrong)

but i could be wrong .

cleaned my maf and bam wot all the way to 3500 then sputter misfire and it wouldnt go any further. i believe this is problem but wont be able to tell till i get a new one. vac is sittin at 20 did some research found out that was rich can smell the fuel out the exhaust. anybody that has a maf for sale i could really use it now also found computer codes 13 and 43

it sounds a little like a timing problem to me. adjust your CAS and see what happens. mine rev'ed at 1500 and i wet it down to 1100 and it purrs like a kitten.

bought an n60 maf but the car is still acting funny its running rich as heck with the maf and without wont even rev now it just dies when you try to to rev it
