Back in 2005 I had a Mustang GT. Car was fast but the price of gas went over $3.00 so I sold it. I went out and got a new Nissan Sentra 1.8s with an auto transmission. The car does a good job of getting me to work and home and the gas mileage is good. It is now three years later and I have the need for speed. My son did a CAI & a cat back and it did nothing for his car, It does make alot of noise though. I was told that if I realy want to get some speed out of this car a turbo is the way to go. I called my local speed shop here in Baltimore to get the job done. I was told that they do not make a turbo kit for the 1.8 L engine. I was told he could make one for me but the automatic would not take the 6-8 lbs of boost. I need to know what you think of this because if the turbo is a no go then its trade in time again. Thanks Robert.

I don't know if it'd really be worth it. Their used to be a company who made a kit for QG18DE, but I don't think they make them anymore. The 1.8 was really meant for MPG and not performance, if you want something quicker I'd go with a Spec V.

I'd suggest you get a different platform if you want to go fast. A 1.8S auto is not made for going fast and turboed.
