Haha that's an extreme version of what I'm going for, but the right idea :P I do wish the xd-9s came bigger, but they've grown on me. They look great in person. Eventually doing a 5-speed conversion would make myself cry first. Tears of joy!

And Wes, I don't work in an office, so I wear brown socks whenever I want!

Ya man! You should come out to a Skyline meet, we usually meet every week in Coquitlam, and of course I'm the only President. Would be cool to meet another Infiniti owner!

Thanks jdm94sir!

Pyro, that wouldn't be the only S13 at that meet! Pretty much dominated by them

Lookin good. I did some diving at GG in school, don't frequent Ballard often. I wish I'd have known about that meet, it would have been cool to see the Prez in person. I'm somewhat tuned out of reality and don't get out much, haha. I'm also glad to see the typical Seattle gloom captured from the reflection of a beautiful example of what an automobile should be. Unfortunately also is that my G50 would not have been even close to interesting compared. Nice ride.

P.S. Love the Canada flags! Sport that BC pride!

Ya I was surprised there were no posts on NICO about the GG meet, would be cool to see more infinitis, and what people do to them.

Thanks for the props. I might be passing through Seattle to sell my old wheels to someone, you could come out and check it then if you like.

Bro, I'm telling you, we need to switch rides. That is so clean. Glad to see you changed out the muffler. Those wheels are against the grain . . . LOVE IT. Keep us posted.

I'd hate to eat up any time of yours but if it were convenient for you I wouldn't pass it up. Never seen a President before, nor many RHD cars in person in general. I'm sure people stare at the thing expecting some Microsoft exec. to climb out. It has that commanding presence to it you can only get with such an elegant look. It's a shame the weather is so poor, this is the time of year the beachfront starts to get jammed with sweet rides. Alki, in West Seattle, is a hotbed of car activity. All kinds of classics from rods to muscle to tuner to elegance, everything can be seen on Alki on a warm sunny day. As many unique rides as I've seen here I can say a President would garner MUCH attention as it is so incredibley unique in every facet. There is a guy somewhere local with a Skyline, and a couple of Brit RHD cars around. I happen to enjoy cars that put a smile on everyone's face and I think the President probably does just that.

Thanks for the kind words jimby. I do get quite alot of strange looks up here, even though RHD cars are becoming more and more common. At GG 2009 I was swamped by people and barely got a chance to go and grab food as I hadn't eaten because of all the questions and interest. People were walking by R35 skylines to come and see my car.

I had no idea it would get this much love, I bought the car for myself, because I thought it was cool. It was for sale for almost a year, with no bites. Don't know why no one jumped on it. Mind you it had a couple issues but they're being dealt with.

I've always bought my cars for myself, and not because I've needed approval from others. I have very long and deep relationships with them, so they have to mean something to me. Hopefully this new relationship lasts a while! Sorry to get all soft on you there, just speaking my mind...

What I like about the President is that you recognize it's a nice car, you see the grille and the hood ornament, but your mind doesn't go to "oh, it's a bimmer" or "ooh, a lexus"...it's not even infiniti, it's a Nissan. Because Infiniti was created for the American market who need to know they have a "luxury" option and are in a different class than Sentra owners. I like that Japan has economy Nissans, and Super luxury Nissans. Because of this, there is no stigma attached as to a BMW, Mercedes, or Lexus etc, which automatically create an image of prestige, wealth, and a certain attitude in one's mind, as per the marketing geniuses have guided us.

Hey, I just own a Nissan.

I'd like to come out and see Alki Beach sometime. I may be selling my wheels to someone in Seattle, so if we decide to meet part way I'll let you know and pop by Alki. How does that sound?

If anyone else wants to come they are welcome...

Love the car and I like the rims as well. Only nit-pick I have is that the rears should be 19's

I do think 19s would be sweet on the car, but they dont make em...they really should.

Finally getting all my suspension fixed as well as many other things done, cars been in the shop all week and will get it back monday. i'll be sure to post up as to how it rides :D

And Jimby, I'm coming down to Bellingham tomorrow to sell my wheels, unfortunately I'll be in my dad's 2001 Maxima as the Prez is still in the shop. Next time, though...I'd like to check out some other meets this summer

Latest pics of my ride. Sitting on Tokico Blues and California Customs lowering springs, with Z32 adjustable FUCAs. Front is about 3 inches off the ground. Eventually I'll look at an airbag setup, but I've had to spend money on other things this year so my project is going slower than anticipated. I'm still really enjoying the car, I'll store it over the winter and buy a beater, and install my stereo setup over the winter.I can't drive anywhere without people stopping me and asking about the car; it's quite the attention getter, more than I anticipated.Enjoy the pics

Remove the chrome pillar covers and window curtains, swap out wheels and tires with a touch more traditional style and size{BBS ??} and it would be almost perfect!!!

Style wise, the President model was Nissan's interpretation of a Rolls Royce based slyling cues from a Park Avenue .

The clean restraint and balance of the Q45 was Nissan's best effort on the G50 platform.

Have to disagree with you there. In hindsight Nissan was foolish to not just sell the President in the US as the Q45. The President has all the styling cues to have been a big seller here in the US and compete with the Lexus. You wonder what Nissan was thinking or not thinking since American car makers make the same kind of mistakes. Only the Europeans and specifically the Germans seem to have the styling sense finger on the pulse of Americans when they introduce new models in the US.

Do you know how much the Nissan President cost in Japan?

Do you know why they discontinued it in Japan after 2001?

When you find those out you will see why they did'nt bring the Nissan President over here..............................................................Spoiler for the lazy people:

Japan went all out with the Nissan President (PHG50 Sovreign) JHG50 (JS AKA Q45 with Japanese extra's). It cost about 100K Yen brand new. The business people and who ever else could afford it could no longer afford to drive one. Maintaining was not really a problem because they only got DRIVEN IN THEM (Sovreign mostly) for only 6K miles a YEAR.

So if they cost that much in Japan and it was brought over here for that much do you think people like me and you would be driving one now?
