What springs did you use for the dropped? How low did you go for the front/rear?Any camber issues or uneven wear of tires?

I used Tein "HT" springs. 1.2" drop in front & .5" drop in rear.

No issues.

My next Mod will be chrome tips (1 per side).

..........dont do that; i think the dual tips looks way better and makes the car look more aggressive from the rear. i think you should do a poll and see if that is the better route.

Does the TPMS work with these wheels? Great color combo (car/wheels) btw.

Suprisingly awesome! In certain circumstances actually smoother. Over HUGE potholes another story though but not bad at all(I'll try to avoid those). I have to contribute that to the tires though. The Toyo T1Rs have excellent ride quality and are quiet. Way soft for a performance tire. Furthermore the car handles better. Flatter on the turns, great strait line perormance, and more of a pleasure to drive.

I have not had rear passengers yet.

The TPMS valves were transfered over from the old wheels and work perfectly.

BTW...I looked at these wheels for quite some time, they are pretty sweet on your M. The dropped is perfect IMO, any lower and it will look to ghetto for me. Again, all my opinion. Your M looked aggressive but still has the factory profile which is the look I am trying to obtain.

I am getting my 19" wheels in late next week from Work Gnosis. I waited 3 months for those wheels. Hopefully my dropped will be as nice as your M.

Nice looking. Weight, offset, strength? Is it a 2 or 3 piece design?

Most performance compounds are soft.

I was looking at these for my car since they are darn near the only wheel with a lip that'll fit the g37 bbk on the M45. They are nice, one peice design and fairly light. I don't know what the exact weight it, but test fitting the G37 BBK template at the one down at element wheels i didn't notice that it was heavy at all.

His other thread lists the offset, but for the M45 in the 20" variant they are 20x8.5 35mm front and 20x10 43mm rear. In 19" size they are 19x8.5 35mm front and 19x9.5 45mm rear. To clear the BBK they would need at least an ~7-8mm spacer to push the offset to 27-28mm which is fine since in that rim width you can run up to 25mm front and be flush with the fender depending on your camber and lowering.

The rears should clear the BBK just fine with no spacer needed, but to match the front end, you may need another 7mm space to match.

Oh, and I think he meant the ride was soft, not the compound - right 07?

High performance tires in general have a softer compound for more grip. The down side being longevity.

What I meant was the ride quality is amazing soft. So far(300 miles) the Toyo T1R's appear to have a soft sidewall. The handling is very good but not exceptional. A huge improvement over my last setup though. I'm hoping they will stiffen a bit over the next couple of hundred miles.

Tires are at 39 PSI@ cold and the ride is still soft. If I didn't know better, I would have mistaken these tires for great handling touring tires. Go figure??? Maybe I need a longer break in period.

By the way--thanks for the compliments.

How much did everything cost. Your car looks legit. I just got an 06 M35, with no options. So how much for Lip, Rims, tires, suspension upgrades, and labor? List out each price if you remember. Thanks.

Also, how many miles can you go on those tires, and how much does a set of four cost?

The Aero kit came with the car.

$250 for dropping springs (did the work myself)

$85 for (4) wheel alignment

$1850 for wheels and tires plus tax ($2000 out the door)

Correct! As a very rough approximation, the higher the UTQG wear rating, the "harder" the tire compound is ... to reduce the material loss as you drive, and the less sticky a tire. This reduces the grip - affecting braking and lateral acceleration.

A separate point to note: the UTQG ratings are only meaningful within a single manufacturer - they cannot be compared across different manufacturers. The testing methods are simply not well defined enough to allow that direct comparison, unfortunately. But, comparing different models made by the same manufacturer is okay.

For example, a Michelin Pilot Sport A/S should last longer (i.e., more miles) than a Michelin Pilot Sport PS2 based on the UTQG comparison. And it will give you less grip for braking and lateral acceleration.

How many miles have you driven on these wheels/tires and since the Tein dropped?

Are you running staggered setup? Sorry if I didn't read some of the posts,,,guess I am trying to find out if there are uneven wear on your tires.

I am wanting a Tein dropped similar to yours but am afraid of the rapid wear on the tires.

I bought Michelins A/S Plus...paid $1500 out the door through discount tires by the house and the last thing I want is rapid wear on those tires.

But damn,,,I am itching for a Tein drop!!!

I have had them on for about 6K miles. I have not noticed anything adnormal in terms of tire wear.

Ironically my car is at the dealership right now getting a 4 wheel alignment.I will post the results.

My loaner car is a brand new G37 Sedan. These puppies are fast...really fast. Ride quality is poor. Noise is bad. My "M" is more fun to drive in terms of road feel, balance, and comfort. The interior materials are far better in the "M". But...hit the gas at 70mph and you're in for a treat in this thing. OMG!! The car lurches and seems to accelerate accelerating.

But, I'll take the "M" anyday of the week except Sundays at the drag strip.

Oh yeah, the folks at the dealership were in awe of the wheels. many, many compliments.

I went to the dealership Monday for an oil change and tire rotation. I also wanted to get my wheels balanced, but they said the rims were bent, probably from all of the potholes in Chicago.

I also had the 2009 g37 loaner. I completely agree with your assesment, even when compare to the Y34 M.
