I've had my 2010 Versa since May. I had driven it no more than two weeks when it began to make a sound I can best describe as like tapping a car antenna with a wrench when making slow left turns (ONLY left turns). The dealer replaced a strut assembly and the noise went away. Two weeks later, same noise returned. The dealer tightened some bolts and the noise went away. Two or three weeks later, the noise has returned! This is driving me nuts! It only happens on slow, left turns such as going up a ramp in a parking garage and seems to happen more frequently when it's hot out (which is nearly all the time here). Any suggestions would be appreciated. The car's still under warranty, but taking it in to the dealer every two weeks is a major pain.

I dont even know nissan or the dealer ever permanently fix that problem. I have the clunking sound for the last 2 years. First they replaced the upper steering column and the problem went away for almost a year. When the problem returns they replaced the lower steering assembly. The problem went away now it returning but now i'm out of warranty.

The first time it makes more of a clunk sound, now it make sort of a sproing sound when i make a right turn at low speed.

Try to take it to the dealer and have them replace the lower steering asembly. I read a lot of people that have more problem with the lower steering assembly then the upper steering column or any kind of joint or tightening bolt.

Here is the link just incase you need a picture to visualize.
