Took the **** to nissan, they said the reason the motor shakes so much is because the #3 injector is bad, so i go to a yard pick up an injector from a 1992 (i think) automatic, the #s on the top of the injector dont match my stock ones but i figure thats because it came from an automatic? So i bought new rubber o rings and installed the injector, now the car shakes even more with a/c on and less with it off, not to mention it back fires now (stock exhaust) and has a hard time starting, running rich? When i pull the plug wires out with the car running, #3 doesnt make the car run any different, and the plug is black. I dont know if the cars #3 cyl. works on and off or what, when i floor the car after 5500rpm you can literally feel the power kick in, it feels like vtec. I guess its the cylinder fully kicking in. So someone tell me whats wrong with my car, do i need to do a compression test and go from there or what?OliverOn zilvia.net there telling me to check the impedence of the injectors, how do i do this? so could my clylinder be fine this whole time and the problems is something less minor?

a junk yard is not really a good place to pick up an injector..... i'd suggest that you head to the yard again and pick up an injector from a manual car (if it really makes a difference, i dont know) and make sure the # matches, and get them all cleaned & balanced.

why not just buy a rebuilt one? I think that's better than from a yard..

If you don't get any difference when you pull the number 3 spark plug, then you have a spark problem, not fuel. Find out where you aren't getting spark. Pull the wire out, stick a new plug in it and run the car and see if theres spark, if there is none, its the wire. If there is spark, its the old plug.

I concur. That should have sent up a big red flag when you pulled the wire and nothing changed.

There is also a chance that your #3 injector still could be bad... It might be flooding the cylinder with fuel and therefore the spark isn't strong enough to ignite the fuel... but it does seem to be a spark problem. Hope this helps

You're definitey going to have to test that wire/plug and injector in the manners suggested above. Try it out.

You may be right, i just ran into bigger problems. I bought a new wire set, plugs, cap, and rotor.. and I still cant get it to start, but i noticed there is fuel leaking from what looks like the cat, and somewhere else under the engine. I remember when i was checking for spark with the wires against the valve cover, #3 cyl. shot fuel out the top. The dip stick even smells like gas and the oil cap on the valve cover!! I dont know what i am suppose to do now, if my motor is shot because of the fuel in it, im screwed. HELP!!

I just checked again and the oil and gas is dripping everywhere.. I need of advice, should i just take it to a mechanic, theres a "Z specialist" that lives about an hour away from me and i have access to a truck and trailer, if this is something out of my hands.

Some gasket went somewhere...uness you can trace your oil and fuel lines to where there is prominent buildup, caking, leakage, or provide pictures, there isn't a real lot I can advise you without you ending up spending unnecessary amounts of money on a problem I'm not positive about.
