I wasn't too happy with the green LED lights I put in the climate control unit....The window switches are good, but the buttons on the CC were too dim for my liking, so I spent the extra money on bright white LED's and went to work.

Now I am MUCH happier with the result.....

I also did the same to the controls in the rear armrest too..... once again.... much happier

Different camera (used my phone for the new ones), but you get the idea.

The rear controls DO light up blue, even though I have used a white LED.... I'm guessing the built in diffuser is made of blue plastic..... I still think it looks good though...

(I must be obsessed with lighting!!!)

I forgot to mention that I soldered the LEDs directly to the board this time, instead of using the little bulb holders.

I found it easier this way. In-case anyone else tries to do this in the future, I suggest doing the same.

Hey Oz,

Nice Job. I was just about to ask if you still needed the holders. I guess you don't now. Direct solder was the method I used too.

Yeah, the holders were to make up LED's for other people so they could install them whenever they had time, instead of pulling out their CC and switches and mailing them off for a retrofit....

By direct soldering i managed to get the LED's to sit deeper in the holes, making the light at the front brighter...

Guess it's one of those things people will just have to try to do themselves....(C'mon guys, it's easy!)
