Found out today that although the A/C is an eligible vehicle, its up to the dealer if they want to honor the Vehicle Purchase Program for a particular car.

Looks like I was wrong!!

I'm sorry to hear that. Thats what I figured would happen. Good luck! Try a different dealer if possible.

So Nissan doesnt care if its dealer alienates their customer, I would be driving something else if that happened to me. I would have voted with my checkbook. Not that Nissan would have cared but it would p*ss me off that I would get screwed just because they can...

I'm not ready to give up on an A/C just yet. This will be my first brand new car; I've been researching new cars my entire senior year. Now that I have my Finance degree and a new job, I want to get the A/C because it is the best coupe out there right now. I think it will be better than the 08 Accord Coupe (and I'm a lifetime Honda guy!!).

I don't blame Nissan. Its the dealers' choice to turn away customers. My father s/w a support person with the VPP program and was told that the dealer makes about $500 less on avg for vehicle sold via VPP.

I was simply trying to avoid ordering a coupe. I had finally found the EXACT one I wanted: only 13miles on the car, had been in a showroom, and was only 100 miles from my house!!! Well, f*** them, I guess...

So now I will order my coupe later this week from a dealer here in town, who has already agreed to honor the VPP price. I can wait 6-8 weeks for my car if it'll save me $2000.

I had to order using the vpp b/c the dealer couldn't find a car similar to what I was looking for. I ordered July 7 or therabouts. My car was put on a train at the factory last week...they said maybe this week but probably most likely within 10 days after that...the wait and the communication have been bad but I'm close now...or so I keep telling myself.

Other than this one that I can't buy w/VPP, the only one I've found is almost the exact A/C, but w/ Premium. I want convenience.

VPP price for 2.5 CVT w/moon roof & convenience ~ $22,8something.

VPP price for 2.5 CVT w/moonroof & premium ~ $24,4something.

I can't remember the exact numbers, I think those prices included kickplates and floor mats. That top number is pretty close to what Ill pay, I think.

Sewright, keep me posted as to your experience ordering (and buying w/VPP) please.
