http://www.gizzmoelectronics.c....html

My friend is dropping his 400whp Talon off at the body shop (girl pulled out in front of him)... and he was worried about them driving the car so I said he should get the gizzmo launch control and set it at 2-3k... and I ran across they have gaskets for us when I was looking for the link to send him

Anyway...

There was a decent gap that I wasn't on the board... not sure if this is a repost, but thought some might want to look into it a bit... or it would be good to hear feedback if someone has used these/priced them out.

I have the phenolic Gizzmo gasket but I do not have it installed yet. I have a new stock gasket to compare it to and it lines up perfectly. It will be ready to go on once I get new O-rings for my injectors/Greddy manifold.

There have been mixed reviews about the phenolic gaskets with regard to effectiveness, but the latest evaluations have shown lower intake temps. I am hoping to get some temperature readings off of the intake manifold after it is installed and compare it to someone who is running the stock steel intake gasket.

Later tonight I'll post up some comparison pics of the gaskets.

I don't see the point of those on an RB manifold. Coolant will flow though the intake manifold even with those, so how much could they possibly lower temps?

That is a very good point and a question I originally thought about. It should insulate the manifold from the head and at least keep the runners cooler than stock. We will see though...

Here are a few pics that I took of the gaskets:

Yeah, seems like a good idea in theory but then I also thought about the coolant situation...

Who knows! It certainly won't hurt

Ha... I was actually just showing another place you can get gaskets...

I would actually expect limited power gains from this product... as long as it doesn't leak I'm happy

I don't know about you, but I just shaved the coolant passage lines. The only ones left are under the mani. Tennessee weathes says I don't need them....

We'll see how it goes when I get the engine back in tho.

im not sure about the gizzmo gaskets but the plastic ones made for the SRs make a difference in that one minute after a hard run on the SR you wont burn your hand on the intake manifold, and its just warm to the touch. I think they will be noticeable on the RBs as well though the material is different.

I have the Greddy RB25 manifold. If you look at the manifold you can clearly see the coolant passes through the manifold to the radiator. It's a different story for the SR20 greddy manifold (as far as I can see). Coolant doesnt run through it and will benefit from the spacer. So could the RB26 but the spacers they have are the wrong ones.

I got mine for "free" but XS-Engineering sells them for $85.

ehh so a bit more than both my exhaust and intakes together... I'd like to see some feedback of what they actually do once tested.
