Well, my car is back at the dealer. If you read from my earlier post, My car was in for some minor stuff, P/S hoses, tie rod boots, and a oil change. They had the car for a week. They also changed my brakes, by mistake, confusing my Q with another Q that looked just like mine. Ok, fine, my brakes were just done in May, but whatever. Friday, I was going to my place in the Poconos for the weekend and when I picked up my wife, I hit 2 bumps that bottomed out my front end and I heard scraping sounds coming from the front passenger wheel. Worried that I was taking a long trip, I went home and took a look under the car to see what was wrong. I figured that the engine guard might have not been fastened and that was doing the scraping. Sure enough, it was hanging, but not low enough to scrape. I go check by the wheel if something was wrong. I looked, and found that the Tokico blues that I had installed in May were removed and a set of blacks were in it's place, and I assume, improperly installed because of the scraping sound. What the f***. This really pissed me up. Not only that, they installed it without the dust boots. What a bunch of idiots. Instead of driving away for the weekend, I decided to go back to the dealer Sat. morning to see what they did. They had no idea what happened. A new Service manager, and a fired tech, it seems like there service department is in a state of flux. My wife was with me and gave the car a hard time because they ruined our weekend plans, the guy took my Q to check it on Monday with the other tech that finished the work in my car and to see if they can resolve the problem. They gave me a G loaner and sent me on my way. I'm waiting to see how they resolve this. I want the blues back on the front. I can't believe how much they've screwed up.

One more thing, my wife and I took a stroll into the showroom and my wife think I should get rid of the old Q and get an FX35. I can't drive a truck every day. She never did like the Q. Maybe in a few years. This year's repair bills have been getting me down.

Personally, I would lose that dealer.

How far away is Keith Vanmeter in Mantua?

Yea, that guy is too far to be practical for me. It would be great to have a T3 like place near me. I would dump the dealer. There’s another dealer nearby which I’ll try out. This is rare. My dealer has always done the work well in the past. It must be the new people that work there.

Lou its time you start buying some tools and doing it yourself!!

Thats a bummer though, but at least you got your G loaner... Hopefully they make this right... And it does sound like youve been fairly pleased with your dealer thus far......

The FX isnt really a truck. Its on the FM platform and handles like a sports car. I mean, you cant tow boats or take it off road... think of it as a tall wagon.
