Again, another Brake/Battery light problem. Before I get flammed I know that is the tell tale sign of an alternator problem and I have searched. I've dealt and replaced the alternator for this same problem before but this time it's different. I'd say for the passed two months they have been coming on intermittently and flickering on and off for like a day or two and then would be fine for like three days until it starts to do it again. Also, my a/c hasn't been producing cold air and whenever I toggle with the controls the brake/battery light stops flickering. Not sure if these two are related but I'm running out of ideas.

I don't think it's a charging issue since I regularly monitor my battery with a voltometer and it checks out fine. I'm almost positive it's an electrical issue.I haven't had the chance of getting in the engine because of lack of time but I have looked around and all the wires seem to be in place and no blown fuses. If you guys have any suggestions I'm all ears.

Thanks in advance,Joe1998 240SX SE

Both your brake and battery warning lights in dash flicker? Pretty hard to test battery with volt meter. Battery testers are only around 5 bucks. Check for loose cables or corroded battey terminals. loose/tight alternator belt. Is there a way to disconnect the ac electrical part out of circuit. I would pull some fuses/relays related to a/c to see if that stops problem.Double check your battery first.

Yeah, the brake and battery light flicker simultaneously when I have this problem. And I meant multimeter and not voltometer in my first post sorry. I just bought a fuse assortment when I was on my lunch break and I'm just gonna have to call into work one day and just scour my electrical system and try to find the problem.

most people use multimeter/ volt meter interchangeably. buy a hydrometer for 5 bucks or take to auto place and test battery.
