I was wondering if anyone would be interested in a write-up on how to convert your USDM tails to LED for less than the price of kouki tails? I'm doing this now and hope to have it all completed by Thanksgiving. (I'm a physician and my free time is almost non-existent.) I know it won't be *JDM-tyte* but honestly, who gives a ****? The lighting will definitely be head and shoulders above stock!

I am also working on a way to convert the all the sidemarkers to LED for <$20. Any interest in a write-up for this too?

Of course, I'll post the pics of the completed project beforehand.

If there's sufficient interest, I'll break out the digital camera and get cracking. If not, forget I mentioned it.

Hmmm... does sound like a good thing, I think stock is a bit too dull. Posting a how to would definately be appreciated.

A step by step with pics would definitely be cool. Go for it.

Hey, I'd be up for that! Anything that can be a DIY and has a flare of originality is something that I'm up for! I do like the kouki lights... but they are sort of expensive (especially considering that I am in college and spare change is non-existant to me) The LED side-markers really peaks my interest though! So, I wouldn't mind a 'how-to' or a write up of the LED conversions.

BTW, the tail light conversion would cost about $200-250, depending upon how many LEDs you want to cram in there. My method also doesn't require any really significant soldering and can probably be accomplished in 2 weekends.
