Ok so heres the deal. last summer I put a SPEC stage 2 clutch in my car I ran it for about 500 miles. Late last summer I slid off the road in wet condidtions and smashed up my intercooler and various other front end stuff. So my car has been sitting in my garage untill now. Last weekend I got her running again. The only things that I worked on were the intercooler, turbo lines and some ignition wiring. So I go to take it for a ride, hop in and go to put it in gear and it wont go. I shut it off and put it in reverse and turn the key (foot on the clutch) and she bucks backwards. Like the clutch is shot. So I had my brother push the clutch and I looked at the slave cylinder and everything seems to be working fine. I even tried the pedal adjustment but to no avail. Any other ideas before I go and rip the transmission out?? please help me SOON!!!

Car: trying to decide on one...

I'm bumping your thread because I have the exact same problem:

Bought the car with SPEC Stage 2 installed. Car sat all summer and I've just now started to drive it and I'm having problems.

Symptoms:- Pedal feels perfect- I have to force it into gear even with the clutch fully pressed- Looked under the car and I can see the fork moving what appears to be the full range of motion- Damper box bypassed

I'm guessing the slave and master are good because I can see the fork moving so well.

Bad clutch? pressure plate? Master? Slave? Fork?

well sounds like to me that the clutch disc has gotten some humidity on it and locked onto the flywheel..ive seen this before..what i had to do is actually get it running and actually press the clutch all the way down to the floor and this is gonna sound abusive but its what i had to do to get mine to free up. with the clutch pressed to the floor press on and off the on the gas while driving it in gear and try to free up the clutch disc from the flywheel...it took me like 5 minutes on a fairly long road to get it to free up.hope this helps
