I thought it definitely needed to be hooked up to the intake pre-turbo as well as keep the stock PCV intact. More and more i am seeing setups like this on cars that appear to be done right. What is the deal with that? You need something pulling the blow-by gasses out and here there appears to be no source of vacuum to assist with that. :gotme

It's not uncommon to use exiting exhaust gases as a source of vacuum as well. You need to place a one way check valve between the catch can and the exhaust piping. A little more common in the Supra community.

Due to the picture I can't say for certain if that is the case in this setup.

Left one looks like coolant overflow tank that I had on my old Civc SI, worked great and saved tons of space.

the other(right one) could be an oil breather/filter relocation.

no no behind that, it looks almost like the neck for the thermostat housing or something but there's no hose going to it. Maybe its just the lighting in the picture thats messing with me. I got rid of my SR 240 like 4 years ago and I can't remember whats right there.

the setup has both vents from the valve cover going to the catch can, along with the crankcase vent on the side of the block (exhaust side) going to the can as well, all being vented to that atmosphere. Not the most efficient way of doing such a setup but neither the less it's an option... I wrote a write up for the RB guys but you might find it useful as there is dialog there that suits most engines...

I want it to be done the right way, not contaminating the oil easily like those kinds of set ups do. I will read your RB setup right now.

If anyone is still confused the one on the left is either a coolant res. or a swirl pot. The right one is the power steering res. it looks like.
