Hi, I'm new here and I have been looking for help. 2012 Rogue. My moonroof is stuck open. there is no sound coming from the motor when the switch is activated. I have checked all the fuses inside. All good. I have disconnected and reconnected the battery with no results. All the windows work as they should. Is there something I'm missing? How do I get to the operating motor? Is there a manual way of closing the moonroof?
Thanks for any help.

I tried to merge this with an existing thread, but it has a glitch, so I'll just provide a link: moonroof stopped working
If there's no sound from the moonroof motor it's entirely possible it has failed.

Thanks for your reply. Here's what I found out. I gave up on it myself and took it to a dealer. He found out the moon roof was added by someone after the car left the factory according to the vin number. There was a fuse hidden under the headliner blown because of a bare wire that was shorted. You never know what to expect! Thanks again.

Don't I feel silly. It never occurred to me to ask if it was an OEM or aftermarket item. Anyway, glad you got it fixed, and for giving us an update!

That's spectacular. It's good to hear someone having a positive experience at the dealer. Hope you stick around with the rest of us old coots. :)
