Ever heard good things, or know of anyone with this setup? Not know, but they don't look too crappy...

Funny you should say that, one of the features is NOT made in taiwan or china

that doesn't exclude korea.

Sorry, They are made in Malaysia.

They are single rate dampers. Who knows how long the valves will last and if you can rebuild them. Then who can repair them?

What are the spring rates? They could be lightweight 4.5kgs or hard *** 10kgs. You’ll never know

What is the stock ride height? How much adjustment do you have? What is the damper travel length?

The thing that really kills it is no upper mount. You’ll ether have to buy upper mounts or hack up your stock ones. The price an't that great you could get some Tein basic/SS or Apexi WS for the same price.

yeah,...would you happen to know anything about hayame co's? They are made in Japan, and have replaceable tokico shox. I haven't seen any kit for the 240s yet, but the price doesn't seem too bad. However, I'm affraid they may be products for the rice masses.

About the price: Well I saw them on ebay for like 600 new, so I thought I'd ask.

I've heard of Hasemi shocks that are really good. You get what you pay for. I've become a JDM C/O fanatic. I've got Tein type Flex's becase Mine is a daily driver. You can't beat the price on teins.

As a general rule on the 240s you want a set with upper mounts w/ camber plates in the front.

PS: I found http://www.hayameperformance.com/ looks like honda only stuff and all Rice.

I checked it out, but the fact that they are taiwanese scared me straight...

For the price, I think a set of used tein/hks/jic would beat any of these.

Ya.. they're crap alright...*sarcasm*

They're also the OEM supplier for certain cars.

You need to stop being malicious, you'll live longer that way. You seem to associate Taiwanese products with junk... and what are they knock-offs of knock-offs of?

This is part of an e-mail that I got from them:Quote »"We have other logo"K- sport" which is export to Japan, we can accept the order quantity is less than 60set and offer same price as column A, minimum order is 30sets. I have attached picture of "K-sport", that quality is same as D2 just a different logo. If you think it is ok for you, please let me know."
That is what the group purchase is for.

This is the response I got after inquiring about the k-sport:Quote »"We didn't set up a website for K-sport, because it is for the customer that would like to directly purchase D2 products from us instead of from distributor, or only would like to place small order. The only difference between D2 logo and K-sport logo is packing of external, D2's external is designed more like from England, and K-sport is designed looks like from Japan, and also K-sport has show up "Design by Japan" on the packing."
but the D2 website and headquarters are based in Taiwan, sorry if I associate taiwanese products w/crap, but I've had way too many bad experiences as to trust my safety to them...

Once again, I wouldn't touch them w/a 10ft pole, but to each their own..

ok...I'm kinda torn appart now...It seems D2 is a reputable company, but how do you find out? What I'm saying is that i've had more bad experiences w/taiwanese products, than good ones. But if they are are good products, then it's a hell of a deal.

I'm bothered by the fact that there is no secondary soruces to evauate these coilovers. There are many sites on D2 but I have not seen one with K-Sport.

Well, it seems many people don't realise that many so call JDM products are actually manufactured in Taiwan. Yes, made in Taiwan. Japanese did the design then Taiwanese made them.Reason? cheaper labor and good industrial support for Aveage to high quality products. The fact is most Taiwanese companies suck in marketing. So they kind of enjoy in doing OEM type of work.

anyways, just like to share this infor with you guys.

you're right, but tein, hks, jic magic, etc... all share one common country of origin. See the pattern?

still any part sold in japan has to have a country of origin stamped on it. Most of the MAJOR JDM manfactures thier parts in japan. This ricer crap is not made in japan.

My point was that D2 is a good buget brand but, WTF are K-sport? He has showen no proof that the two companys are related or that thises things are even sold in japan. I have seen lots of sites with D2 but not one with K-sport.

well, my beef is not with k-sport but d2 itself. They have their base in taiwan, so how do I know they are good? Proving that k-sport is related to d2 is easy, I just question d2's respectability..

I was refering to the Mookeeh's.

Still WTF is K-sport? I UNDERSTAND D2 IS GOOD. I have not seen any relation to the fact that D2=Ksport. Just waiting to see how this plays out.

Didn't you read the quote from one of the e-mails I received from them? D2 and K-sport have the exact same quality and the exact same specs.

I'm talking about external verification. You can say WTF you like to sell these things. I do my research before spending money on things.

Provide me proof that these things are made by D2. Besides some email you received

Can you show me some sites with d2? Besides d2's site, I could only find about a handful of sites that mentioned d2's stuff. So would it be too hard for you to show me some other sites with information about them? Thanks.
