Monthly Poll-May How many miles do you drive per year?

I drive 5 miles to and from work, so any given week I only drive 60 or 70 miles. But I stack on hundreds sometimes when I go on long trips. Do you drive your baby a lot? Or is it just your weekend car? National average is 15,000 a year. (about). My father stacks up about 25,000 miles per year on his car, since he drives from place to place for his job. I used to put 300 miles weekly when I went to school. Anyone here practically live in their car? Here At the dealer I've seen cars which average over 30,000 miles a year. Nissan builds engines to have a quarter million mile life span under good care. Anyone who has or had a sentra with the 1.8 or a Hardbody truck with the indestructible 2.4 8 spark plug engine knows, as There are some around here with 400 or 500 grand on them. When I go to mexico, I routinely see Sentra taxi cabs with 600,000 and 700,000 kilometers on the odometer. Still on their original engine. My dad gave his hardbody to my uncle 10 years ago and its still running with half a million miles on it.

I bought the car in 06 with 5k miles. I now have 34k so thats under 10k a year for me...will be less now that I've finished school. Work is also a 5 mile drive for me, but I go home for lunch every day

i drive 70 miles a day roundtrip to work.. i try not to use it on weekends, i use my other ride... but if you read my other thread , i have since given the g to my wife *sob*... she drives 3 miles to work...

i just cant see myself like others where they say work commute takes hours. in the city sure. but when your 20++++ miles away one way thats just insane

i work 7 miles one way to work. takes me 10-15 mins to get to work. so work use is super low the rest is just fun drives to enjoy my spot!

I take my G up to the good ol' state of VA and I take a few trips down to SC when we have breaks (depending on the length of the break). But after a while the miles add up!

I have about 33k or 34k miles on my G now... we've been through a lot together!

on my first G i put 30,000 miles in 9 months, then I sold it. I use to average about 40k miles / year every year.

I think my average has gone down because I only put 20k miles in 9 months on my new G.

I just hit 18k yesterday...got my car on May 11 of last year...yikes! I only work 10 miles from home too!

My 06 is at 53k and I bought it with 33k almost 2 years ago.!

Some one that I work with has the same year G as me and she bought it new in 06 and has over 132k miles on it... (I do all her oil changes with Royal Purple!) She dives 23 miles to work but has friends that are loaded and live in Boca and West Palm and they all meet in the keys about 2-3 weekends a month.. (Life style of the rich and famous) LOL

hope you dont do bumper2bumper driving in your 6MT. Someday, when I get like $10,000 handed over to me for no reason, I want to drive Route 50 from beginning to end. Yes. 3,000 miles from east coast to west coast. Just for fun.

I did in when I was in the Army in a 66 VW Beedle. NY to Fort Lewis, Wa. On the way home after discharge I went down the west coast to Mexico and back across the southern part of the USDo it while you are young and single

For work I travel 74 miles a day. Then running errands, traveling to see my family and friends in PA & MD every now and then and vacation trips... I'm gonna say that my average per year will be about 20 to 22k. We shall see in a year!

I'm Old and married. Naw, I'm young at least. Eventually my wife I'm sure will be up for the challenge. If she says no she can ride in the trunk after i slug her. Maybe I'll just drive route 1 all the way to flo-rida for some beach fun. she might enjoy that more.

My brother did pretty much the reverse trip. That is from Maryland to NY up the Northern part of the country to Tacoma in a Studie. Right now I live about 5 miles from the southern part of Fort Lewis. I would like to take the trip you mention, only not in a 66 VW, I already spent way too much time in a 63 and a 67 Bug. I got the 63 up to 73 mph going to Roseburg.

Took delivery of mine on Aug. 1, 2006. As of May 1, I had ~26,500 for an average of ~9600 miles/year.

I got my 04 last May with 16101 miles on it. Last night when we got home, it had 25534 on it. So just over 9k a year.

I have a 4 mile commute to work one way, but I come home at lunch. Miles should be less this year. I no longer work a second job. So that should cut about 25 miles a week off of her.

Thats a big thing for me. I like driving my car. When I had my G20 I didn't like driving it. On the highway it was great. Super comfortable seats and highway ride, but outside of that, way underpowered and dead steering that didn't match up with the great handling. And I just got my Stillen Intake! I love how it barks at me at WOT redline shifts. I'll post a pic later. Once I wash my engine bay. Eventually I'll do like some of you guys here and include my mods on my signature.

had my car like 8 months and now she has 38k.... brought it at 18k... and i only live 3 miles from work i just love driving her!!!!!
