Hey guys.. if there is anyone in this area.. or anyone in Cali willing to come to my house and help me get this SR going I REALLY NEED IT! There is money involved if thats the way its gotta be... the engine is in and everythign should be hooked up.. its just not starting and while I could probably figure it out.. I'm out of time I need this going yesterday I'm moving home next weekend and thats 200 miles away from where my car is gonna be stuck at.

any more details on the prob? Like it just won't start? Who did your harness job and are you properly grounded? My buddy had a grounding problem and it wouldn't start and we found that out by accidentally dropping a multimeter plug onto the body and it worked. Ha ha ha.

It is definetly getting fuel, the braided ignition ground is hooked up.. a ground comming out of the lower harness that runs along the transmission to the battery is hooked up, and the ground going from battery to frame to engine is hooked up. I didn't properly ground the spark plug when I tested it for spark so I am doing that today, but I just need someone who knows what they're doing a lot better than I am to come gimme a hand... San Jose isn't all that far away..... :)

yes I have... the problem here is that I traded fo rthis SR out of a car that was already running I didn't do the wiring, it was already done so I have no clue wtf was done. and my car expertise is not very expertly. so I need someone whos done this to come take a look. I'm going to test the ignitor today. I may get it going. But I just have GOT to have this done by next weekend since I'm moving which is why I am making my plea.

oic, well if the engine was running before, granted all things are the same I would check out the ignition system and or whether or not your cylinders are flooded and what not. If you hear your fuel pump run at the "on" position, there is probably a problem with your starter, or your ignitor, and maybe possibly something as simple as is your coil pack harness plugged in?

I just tested for a spark after properly grounding the plug.. nothing. I tried it on two coils with two plugs and neither had a spark. I went and stuck my head above the fuel pump and I could hear is churming when the car was put in the on position so thats not it either. If I can't get a hand with this.. does anyone know any shops in teh area atleast that could gimme a hand?? I'm going to test the ignitor in just a sec

Well when you put it to "start" do you hear the car at least turn? If it doesn't at least turn, it should be your starter. If you do hear it turn but still get no spark, it's prob your ignitor or possibly your cas.

Ya it turns. I tested the ignitor last ngiht its busted, I'm going to a couple junkyards today lookin for a Q45 95+ if nto I'm ordering a chip today. I'm hoping this is the last problem. The CAS is physically in perfect shape, not cracked or smashed or anything, and it came out of a car that was running from what I understand when the guy pulled it out to send to me so I'm pretty sure the CAS isn't broken.
