big area here...... does anybody run an engine managment system (pda/laptop/etc) system in thier car? i'm not talking about tuning software, i have that on my home cpu, but i mean for monitering basics like fuel/air,oil,RPM,etc,etc. the reason is my car is starting to look like a aftermarket gauge store. i would like to have it all go thru a laptop or moniter. i've searched the net and not anything 240 specific (or even nissan for that matter)is producing good results.Anybody got any links or info on this subject? thanks, D

Spa gauges are what you want to look at.They make a neat little dash set up that moniters all the imputs you want for as long as you want. Be prepared to spend about $3k and up.

Theres http://300zx-twinturbo.com/conzult/index.htm Not sure how much it cost but it comes with all hardware + software

And theres http://www.obddiagnostics.com/ Softwares free and hardware 100 dollars

Of corse this can only be used if you have obd 2 i think 95+ 240sx?

I did see this thing in super street magazine but it's for OBD II people :(

If I miss OBD II anymore than I think I might do a swap from a 96'-98' 240SX

Datalogging is what it sounds like you are looking for. Very cheap and very good from Australia. Check out the consult datalogging from http://www.plmsdevelopments.com

For about $100 you can monitor and record all parameters that your ecu sees. water temp, timing, afr (narrow band though), afm, etc, etc. Just need a laptop.

I'm ordering mine as soon as i finish my turbo upgrade.

I might be the first on NICO to test this on USDM cars. So far I've only seen it used on Aussie and U.K. vehicles. Should work just fine. I'll let you guys know how it goes. They just shipped mine.
