With some assistance, I was finally able to locate a Nissan/Momo wheel with airbag. This wheel is actually off the E50 Van. The spline and backspacing dimensions are the same. There is no accomodation for the cruise control, so I harvested the parts from the old wheel and fabricated a mount method for the pod that looks fairly stock. The horn and airbag plug are identical and all wires allign correctly. All things considered, this was a fairly painless mod. Factory parts used and I no longer have to look at a worn leather wrap. The color difference in the wood is not as bad as the pics make it seem...blame the flash.

Its not English, but you can use Babblefish.

Beautiful! What's the difference in diameter between the original wheel and the new one?

I love it, I only wish the wood was the same style as the rest of the interior. But it defintaly makes your Q more sporty for sure.

My car is only worth about $500. Now the steering wheel is most of the cost of the car.

What's involved in setting up a yahoo auction ID?

It's a nice wheel, but even if our cars were worth $100k, the wheel still wouldn't be worth $500 in my eyes.

It's fairly easy to restore to as new OEM condition also, but few bother, then wonder why their cars run like broken Corollas.

Just a question of how many resources you have and where you want to apply them.

Yeah, I would spend the extra $500 on a tire upgrade first so my steering wheel would feel better in a corner. But all my leather is OK so far.

In case that was directed at me, I was not knocking the mod at all. As I said above, I really like that wheel. I just couldn't justify spending $500 on it.
