so even when it's not raining, i've been getting my trunk wet. i've found it completelt damp in there, it's not even funny. it covers mostly the whole thing, not one specific location, and i can't figure it out. anyone know anything about this?

Um, do you have a coupe or a hatch? Either way, check the rubber seals for the trunk, and the seals for around the tailights, those usually go bad.

i have a 98 s14 coupe. i'll check the seals, but last i knew nothing was wrong with em. i dont understand why the moisture would increase even on a nice day, without rain...

Do you mean the "trunk" of your car or you? LoLz... Well, this sounds like the beginning part of a ghost movie..

i dunno, put a can of that damp rid stuff in there and see if it stops, then if it does, take the can out and try and figure out where its coming from. I would inspect all trunk seals and even rear window seals and then pop out your tail lights and check those seals..........

Edit, if your car has a spoiler, pull that off and check the rubber gaskets for rips or tears.

Also what you could do is fold down the backseat and lay with your head stuck in the trunk with a flashlight and then have a friend spray water everywhere and see where its coming in That should work too.

What you are talking about happened to me. You need to take everything out of your trunk. All the cloth stuff. Check down next to the body panels and see if there is still water in there. My s14 got rear ended at one point and the body shop didn't reseal the taillights properly after they were removed. We got a huge monsoon in AZ and my trunk filled up with water...wheel well, and next to the body panels. I couldn't figure out where the wet smell was comming from till I tore my trunk apart and discovered all the water. Dry everything out, check every nook and cranny. Then spray some febreeze in the trunk.
