Ok I am looking for your opinions on My first Mods for My new 240 engineI have about $800 to spend on it and I was just wandering what would be more effective to start off My project.I am going to get an SR later but for now I just want to see what I can do with the KA24DE.I just want to slaughter my friend in his GSR integra.

You *could* get the standard I/H/E for that much and that should be enough to beat a freakin' GSR. But depending on the mileage, I'd save up and start building a low end turbo kit. Cheaper than the SR and easier to install.

If you are going to go turbo later, I would suggest a cat-back exhaust for that application. Don't waste your money on a header, although, I bought a used one for $150 and it is probably the best mod you can do to the KA in stock trim. Get an Apexi intake, that filter is the best. I'm using it in conjunction with an Injen intake pipe, works well. Also, remove your mechanical fan and hot wire the electric one, makes the engine compartment look cleaner, may give a HP or 2, it sure helps it rev a little faster. Heck, even drops off several pounds from the car, and gets rid of that annoying fan sound. Another thing, I don't know what octane you use, but, increase your base timing. I'm running 25 degrees with 93, it definitly helps. You'll have no problem beating a GSR, I've whipped many of them that had I/H/E.

Uh did i here my trademark exhaust lol. Gt spec i think is very nice, have one myself. Enjuku has them for a pretty good price. It was around 80 to ship it though. One word of warning they are pretty loud and if your on a long haul the droning hum can be bothersome to some people.

saving for a motor swap- get lsd, exhaust, and wheels and good tiressaving to turbo your engine- pistons and rods

Dont waste your money on bull**** that will be useless down the road. intake, headers are barely nothing for hp, on n/a engines

Not true at all. Maybe some but not all. Those mods would work wonders on the Maxima.

CAI+Headers+Catback=Satisfaction. Toss in a few more goodies and Ill be in the 13s NA.

I was just giving him suggestions. Obviously he wants some more HP now, it's not like he couldn't sell the CAI or header once he goes turbo. He just needs to come up with a plan. The mods that I listed are far from a waste of time. With those few mods, I can beat or at least sit next to alot of the Mustangs around here that have blot-ons. I've whipped some GST's that had mods, modded Integras, a new V6 Accord (240hp). I'm pleased with the car for now, I have a complete head with S13 cams that I am going to port/polish and install pretty soon. Hey, another thing he may want to get is a B&M shifter. I HATE that stock one!!
