Hey guys!
Just a couple of questions, I have a 1990 240sx. I am wanting to upgrade the ECU, can I just do a flash upgrade or do I have to get an entirely new ECU?
My Next Question, is I am going to swap out the tail lights from those of a skyline, but I have no idea what year fits? (I know it can be done as I have seen pictures... which look pretty wicked!)
Any other possible simple upgrades to get a little more power would be awesome!!

you can get a JWT ecu but they are usaully made for modified engines..... No skyline lights are a direct fit, it requires custom work that IMO looks gross. As for the rev limiter i think puttin in a auto ecu will help that issue. But why do you wanna go past 6k in your car??? it make no power there at all, so its kinda pointless unless your gonna build the motor and turbo it or make a high revving all-motor engine. Oh im also assuming your still rocking the KA as well

ok, so as far as the rev limiter my rpm's are not going past 4500. Yeah i still have the 'ol KA... it has about 400,000 k on it... but still runs like a dream. Do you have any suggestions for some simple performance upgrades?

I dont plan on putting all of this on THIS engine lol :P but yeah it kinda sucks that it has 400,000 k on the motor, but like all nissans im sure this one has tons of life still in it

a 4500 rpm rev limit is a sensor issue of some sort. Check if the ECU is throwing codes, if you download the factory service manual here from NICO that will walk you through checking the codes.
