I am about to drop a 96 KA24DE into a 1969 Datsun Fairlady. Needless to say I should be able to get some serious speed out of the much lighter car... The question is this, since I don't need to pass smog what additional modifications should I do to the engine in order to get the most bang for my buck. The only thing holding me back is that it will be difficult to fit headers into the engine compartment.

What are my cheapest off the bat horse power gains

no smog? i say do every mod under the sun. try using a SS header. most of the 510 guys use them with their KA swaps. apparently it has more clearance than the hotshot header.
