well i for one don't know the actual bandwith #'s that NICO is absorbing. i would imagine NICO is on a plan like most websites where the ISP that hosts the site offers so many (MB/GB)/sec at any given time. during heavy traffic hours it's possible to exceed the given plan and just like a cell phone when you go over minutes extra minutes are costly. but i do like to keep clean forums by locking stuff up. when i say clean i don't mean trash talk i mean when a conversation is dead, pointless, duplicated somewhere else or has ventured completely off topic and is becomes nonsense(refer to nonsense post sticky) or the thread starter requests it. locking threads to me is like setting a pace for the forum. or maybe like saying, "ok, lets move on to a new subject" in the end it all helps preserve bandwith and that's a good excuse too!

I'm glad to see more threads locked. Some of them are just so pointless and run down that it's a waste of everyones time. Eventually in those threads, people start to get angry at eachother, and it just goes to sh*t anyways.

YUP! you got it. here's a trick to help during browsing. use the 'Back' button more over the linked buttons. It loads the pages from temp files rather then bouncing off of NICO everytime. Or everyone could just pay the membership(i call it a donation) fee!

Perhaps deleting all locked threads after a week or so would be beneficial as well...

probably would just help HD space more then bandwith. but unless it's total trash i wouldn't delete it just because of the valuable search option. you never know who that thread might help.

Ok, I've been here for a long long time. I first started coming back in when we were known by the MUCH better name of 240sx.org. My point is that I have no troubles paying a members fee, but I have no clue what it gets you.???

but id give the 35 bucks if i got a nico t shirt , er wait , i dont have a infiniti anymore.....
