So I have been in the Modifying “business” for at least 4 years and always when doing any type of modification there are always compromises involved.

When doing suspension you are going to sacrifice road quality for handling. When doing brakes, better stopping but more noise & faster ware. Going turbo, more power but less responsiveness, more components to go wrongBolt-on mods, lets say headers, you will loose low end but gain top end, or wise versa.Gutting interior less weight but so much more road noise. When doing body kits, less durability and a higher risk of bottoming out.Even audio equipment, putting stress of electrical system, and adding weight to the car. Even something as small as tinted windows, less heat, but less visibility.

Almost always it’s a compromise, why, why can’t something just improve the car overall. Its 1AM and I’m pissed off.

Discuss…

Yeah, life sucks like that. That is why you need a nice every day driver then your highway terror-mobile.

why spend a grand on a turbo ,300 on a manifold,200 on motor mounts , and 50$ on a cutoff tool to make it all fit togther????

this time+money=a long fn wait to drive my car sucks big time... i hope it lasts as long as its taking to build. a 400+hp ca18det sounded so much better 9monthes ago......

sacrifices are always made when it comes to modifying a car. Even factory super cars aren't always the most forgiving in ride quality, etc. I forget what type of car it was, but you basically had to kind of back roll to get into it. The way it was explained to me, made the driver sound like he was looking like a total dork, but yet he spent thousands of dollars to purchase said automobile.
