you mean mounting them backwards? that would "technically" do the trick but very very very unstable and dangerous i would thinkMetal Angel wrote:I have 15 inch mesh wheels that I like all except for the fact that they are 6.5in wide and +40. First off don't flip the wheels! It's far too dangerous to be worth it. Second, yes you can switch out the barrels but probably not on your wheels. If you have a one piece wheel that means the whole thing is made from a single cast. If you have a 2 or 3 piece wheel then you can usually take it apart and get a new barrel for it. HOWEVER, by the time you look at the price of doing all this, you might as well head over to classifieds and find yourself a nice set of cheap wheels to go with instead of trying to make wimply little 6.5's work.Metal Angel wrote:I have 15 inch mesh wheels that I like all except for the fact that they are 6.5in wide and +40. What he said on the flipping them thing, however the "laughing my a** off" in my op means I would not even consider this. I'm sure my bearings would be shot in 24 hours after doing this. My meshies are multi-peice and my question still remains... where would I even begin to look for new barrels?jeff420 wrote:he doesnt mean put them on backwards, he means take the mesh part off and mount it on the opposite side. ive heard it can be done also. seemed like it could work but i dunno
