Has anyone ever tried to mod their stock upper plenum, so the throttle body didnt go over the top of the motor? I was thinking about giving it a shot, i saw an RB25 on ebay and they put the throttle body on the front of the mani.

Here is a link to what im talking about.http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors...wItem

Thats cool, I just wonder if the first cylinder will run leaner than the rear cylinder with that setup?

Just leave the stock manifold alone, it's ugly but it will take you to 500ish hp.

Coming from a go who has a RIPS, but I agree leave it stock or go RIPS there's no other way about it.

Its a completely different design if you modify the stocker. A RIPS is designed to do what it does and make everything smooth. A moded stocker will make some cylinders lean indeed.
