Never driving cross country, I presume? Pity in such a great highway car.

Had 3.5" between front splash guards and road on stock springs on my wife's FY33. It was not a feature. Splash guards were removed. Looked great, just didn't work in real world driving.

Why would you say that? I can raise the car back up to normal ride hight by the flip of a switch..

Why are you putting a Dell monitor in the trunk???? I've seen this in many showcars I've judged and never understood this mod.

Congrats. First new M I have seen on bags

Def do a writeup. I'm sure others would love to see how easy or hard it is to do this.

....so help me understand. Why not mold a pair of 7" monitors into the trunk lid and integrate it into the overall look. Dropping a Dell monitor is like taking a left over home audio reciever and putting it into your car. Not to hijack...but just trying to understand....

Love the air.....though

And put the luggage on top of the plasma screen?

From where does the word "trunk" come in an automotive application?

Maybe you could fit a popcorn machine? A fountain?

Why would you do this to your car. Lowering it is nice but for what purpose that car looked nice already. However, monitor in the trunk is a waste of money in my opinion. Sorry.

What does it matter if he has a monitor in his trunk? He bagged it which is probably a 1st in the M community. Give him props....

I gotta say, I *would* like to see that monitor molded into the trunklid... At least a *little* more functional.

Im sure that he is going to do some trim work in the trunk around the monitor. It could be mounted further back and have some panels glassed so it doesn't look like it is just sitting there...Im sure he has plans.

What some of you don't get is that people are all different...some of us who are "different" see things in other nonconventional ways. A step further, some "different" people have big bucks and can afford to work on cool projects such as this. Others seem to get whatever equipment they want pretty much handed to them at will...Me personally, if i was offered a few 7" monitors or a badass flat panel...i would ask for the flat panel. I can't say that i know his particular situation cause i don't but i am given so much stuff i don't know what to do with it all...

I say keep being different. I like it.

Actually my intentions were to mount it far back and then cover it when not in use, then at shows and meets it would come out and flip up to trunk door open level.. Normally driven you would never know it was there, even when you opened the trunk.

Some of you asked why and see no purpose, well to answer that, It was going to be hooked up to a computer that has wireless internet. You see I run several large websites (My350Z.com , G35Driver.com) and plan to use this car for events. The plan what to go to different Z/G and other car meets flip open the trunk, extend the monitor out jump online and let the people around show others stuff on the site etc.

I mean imagine the guys here at Nico throw a meet together and several nico members around talking about a certain post and would like to see it, etc do you think a 7 inch monitor is going to work? Heck No.

The other purpose is to grab attention when you pull up somewhere, pop out the monitor and show people a few posts on the sites. I mean not everone knows about this site am I correct?

A few years ago I use to run live video feeds from my car to my website, this pretty much would have fell into the same route: live site, live cam feed, live chat with others on the site. Guess what it helped a lot with what I was doing, and I enjoyed it along with others. As far as watching TV on it as most of you think, that was never the intention. It would get more internet time than TV.

On another note, the car handles nice when the air is adjusted right, and its pretty crazy to put up to people and just slam it on the ground, they freak out lol.. And putting the TV in the trunk maybe on hold; as the the car goes up and down pretty fast I think will damage it.. We'll see though..

That is an interesting idea! Since it is a show car of sorts, it seems to me that to going "over the top" in a few items ought to be lots of fun!

Very, very cool. Some people are more into the stock features of this car rather than modifying it, but youre doing a great job.

Awesome idea with the portable forums.....
