Hey moderators....what's up with these ads in the first posting of every topic, on every forum?
This is really irritating, and definitely unnecessary.
I know you need to make a few bucks from ads and stuff, but this is ridiculous.
Get rid of them, please.

I've seen these ads, but only in a few threads. They've disappeared now.

I'll be nice since you're a n00b, but unless you're paying the bills, you don't really know what's "unnecessary" and what's not.

Find me a forum this big without ads and without paid membership or "premium content" and I'll be more receptive.

BTW, if you're logged in, there shouldn't be any ads in the first posting. ;)

You and the O.P. are on drugs. It's been confirmed, it's not your computers.

Those ads appear in the first posting if you are viewing a thread while you are logged out.

But, if you login, those ads won't appear in the first post.

you guys need to stop looking at so much pr0nz and/or use more anti-spyware/adware..

ok so probably looking at less pr0n is out of the question, so get a better anti-malware scanner.

I am logged in at work using IE6. The Ad links are between the first and second post. I don't mind them, but I'm confirming that they are there.

Oh, guess I don't ever see the issue as I log in immediately on any new computer :)

Can someone take a screenshot? I'm on firefox with Adblock now and I'm not seeing any ads even when not signed in.

Makes sense.

I honestly like the idea of having non-members see more ads.

OK, so I shot my mouth off before figuring it out.
You're right of course. The ads only show up if you're not logged in.
Just so you know, I don't log in automatically when I come here.
Most of the time I just like to browse and read. That's why I saw them.
I only log in if I want to say something, or embarrass myself. LOL.
I understand the need to generate revenue. That's the way it is.
Cheers.

so with the red-coated cheese (no clue on proper name) is the red part edible? cause that seems like the most interesting thing about it. otherwise it just looks like regular cheese.
