Socal today was a mess, nothing but rain and puddles.... Even though driving though the rain was fun as hell, especially with AWD that thing sticks to the ground even through the hardest of turns! WOW!

But anyway, today was lousy so I wanted to do something with the pathy.. I was going to start my rim project, but I decided id rather have them get all dirty and stuff before I graphite spray them.

So I took my graphite spray paint and painted the engine cover to soon match the rims!

What do you think??

I love the graphite paint; that's the stuff I used for my badges and front grille surround. I also plan on painting my stock wheels that same graphite. When you do your wheels can you post lots of pics?

Yeah! I was planning on doing a before/after kinda post where I would show how it looks and my two cents on it. I dont know about you, but on mine, im planning on doing a clear coat shine, i've heard it protects them from chips, rocks, and other stuff that might ding the paint. It also adds a bit of shine to them, kinda like how our stockers shine when they are nice and washed.. Some people prefer a more matte finish, but im not really into that.. I like the OEM look with a hint of creativity lol

Well I don't have any close-ups of the badges and grille surround, but I have some regular pics of my car. These are some older pics; I've fixed my rear bumper and got a new exhaust and replaced the roof rack fairing since I took the pics. I'll have to take some new pics soon.

I clear coat everything and I highly recommend clear coating anything you paint. I have clear coated all of my badges and the grille surround as well. They turned out quite nice, except it's hard to tell in the following pics.

Engine cover looks great

I painted my engine cover last year with a gloss black paint

I matched the wheels with the engine cover during the summer also

The clear coat is a must I also like the gloss look and believe you will be happier with it

WOooww Roger! Thats so nicely done! Man I tried so hard to cover the V6 3500 part on mine, and it turned out so bad.. I spent an hour cutting painters tape to get it all around, but it looked terrible so I just ended up doing the whole thing graphite.. As for the nissan logo I just took it off.
