Well the N/A is kinda a lost cause, even with upgrades, ou will get more pep, but not the gains you would see in a TT.

Well Intake first, then usually cat-back exhaust. Pulleys (mainly just crank pulley), then ECU then full exhaust.....then your outta options for power.

For pep, your best options would be prolly the cat-back and the pulley.

i heard somewhere awhile back that your biggest cost effective upgrades would be:

intake/headers/exhaust

now my questions.. 2/3 already done, i can see those crappy looking stock headers, is it really worth the upgrade to put some, say, Z1 headers on

there is a gain if you do put headers on but its not a massive one, i put new headers in when i put in the catback exhaust system in along with the light weight pulley so i had a hp power gain but i couldn't tell how much specifically the headers gave me. although they dont give you a massive gain there still something everyone gets to gain a little more hp

with the upgrades you did could you tell a difference in torque response?

ya theres more torque response, and there is a good gain from what it feels like, the dyno this friday should tell if all the upgrades made a difference

As its been found before by many, even with all the bolt-ons you will not get to within 60hp of the TT, if you wanna build a NA then do it and don't let anyone discourage you, if you got big hairy ones throw a 75 shot on it, outside of nitrous however you wont ever see TT numbers.

See Honads' thread regarding the NA, you will NOT get more than about 210WHP from your NA no matter what you do beyond major internal work like cams, lighter internals, etc...even with the massive weight reductions he has done.
His thread is very detailed, check it out...TT or motor swap is all there seems to be.

3rd.

And Rockchucker had 222whp out of blue at his last dyno. So you actuallycan get more than 210 without major internal work, Dcaff.

Hey, thanks Beast...do you have any links to his setup, etc?
I've seen stuff from Rockchucker before but not about his NA setup...

i own a 300zx n/a...no use in modding other than intake and exhaust...i find it to be just what i want for the handling and decent power and lower potential maintenance cost (compared to the TT)....but id be lying if i said i didnt want more power
