I was recently looking into doing this mod, but I have no idea where to start. I've searched a few forums and no luck. Some people say that you basically need a simple relay module or something like that and others say that you need to do some wire mods...reprogram the EDU...

I just personally think it would look nice. and no im not going to cover up my headlight sensor and use headlights..i can just turn them on all the way if i wanted to. But it would make you look twice at a first gen G when you see one driving down the road with the DRLs on.

I know newer G's sold in Canada have DRL's. Have you looked through the FSM for yours to see if they show wiring for Canada models with DRL? Assuming they had DRL's with the '04.

I'd love to know the answer to this as well. I keep looking, keep finding old threads with no answers... This one is new enough that I don't mind bumping. :)

In my QX4, I had modified a relay. Wasn't ideal because the fogs would remain on...
I want them to work with parking lights, but DRL would also be a great way to use them.

Anyway... feels great to be back on NICO!! :)

I understand via a search that Hamsar is the company that makes the DRL module, maybe they could help?

I had some radio issues and was looking through the fuse box on the drivers side by the dead pedal and i noticed on the fuse box diagram that there is a fuse slot and a fuse inserted in to something labeled DTRL (which i know stands for day-time running lights). So I definitely think that the car can be modded to have them..i hope that the module would be the answer.
